Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has revealed his intention to play in the English Premier League at some time in his footballing career.
Agyemang-Badu has been constantly linked with a move to England over the past few years, but a deal has never materialised. Watford were the latest club to express an interest last summer, but the Ghanaian had to face the disappointment of not realising his dream. Despite this, the Ghana international is waiting for his chance, and is prepared to jump into the Premier League bandwagon, should he receive any sort of offer during the summer transfer window.
βIt has been the dream of every player to play in the English Premier League,β he said on Dwidwamu on Agoo TV.βI will not think twice if an offer comes from the English Premier League because it has always been my dream to play in the English top-flight.β
Agyemang-Badu started his initial career with Berlin FC before heading to Berekum Arsenal in 2007. He therein spent loan spells with Asante Kotoko and Recreativo de Huelva after which he joined Udinese on a permanent basis in 2010.
Agyemang-Badu has since been an integral part of the Serie A club which has experienced its highs and lows, and he is now eyeing a potential move to the Premier League, where he could prove his credentials.
The Ghanaian midfielder has previous links with English clubs after having undergone unsuccessful trials with both Middlesbrough and Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2008 while Stoke City were deemed to be interested in his services two years ago. He is currently a regular with his national side having made a total of 76 appearances for the Black Stars while netting 11 goals in the process.
